J. Micah Dickie
Micah focuses his practice on commercial litigation involving all issues
arising from the ownership of small and closely-held companies including
shareholder disputes, claims of professional negligence, fiduciary duty
claims, and contract disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Micah served
as a law clerk for the Honorable Leslie J. Abrams of the U.S. District
Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
magna cum laude graduate of the Mercer University School of Law, Micah served as a member of the
Mercer Law Review and Mercer’s Moot Court Board, graduated in the top 5% of his class,
and earned CALI Awards for top marks in Civil Procedure, Contracts II,
Legal Research I, and Advanced Litigation Drafting. Micah was also a finalist
in Mercer’s 1L Hugh Lawson Moot Court Competition and the Ruby R.
Vale Interschool Corporate Moot Court Competition. During law school,
Micah served as a judicial extern for the U.S. Merit Systems Protection
Board and the Honorable Christopher J. McFadden of the Court of Appeals
of Georgia and as an extern for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of
the Solicitor. Prior to law school, Micah worked as a manager in the restaurant
business and ultimately owned and operated a full-service restaurant for
over six years.
Micah is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice
in the state courts of Georgia and the Middle District of Georgia.
In his spare time, Micah enjoys spending time with his wife, Alisha, and
his son, Joshua. He also enjoys cooking, novels, online gaming, and philosophy.
